SEAAC Snow Camp September 2015

This amazing Mt Hotham ski trip would not have been possible without the generosity of Darren White from the General Hotel and Mt Hotham management who arranged an amazing 3 day escape to Mt Hotham for 15 SEAAC young persons with skiing lessons, all meals and 5 star accommodation at the General, Mt Hotham fully paid for.

SEAAC and New Hope Foundation partnered for this snow trip, with staff from both organisations preparing carefully for this event, facilitating group activities and ensuring all young people were well looked after.  Young people developed new friendships, increased confidence in undertaking leadership roles and most of all, many for the first time soaked up the exhilarating experience of skiing in the snow capped mountains and taking in the fairy-tale whiteness of the landscape.

SEAAC management and youth participants are extremely grateful to the General Hotel and Mt. Hotham Ski resort & ski management for their support in providing ski gear, ski lessons and covering all costs of making this a memorable experience for all participants. A special mention to Geoff, our fabulous INDIGICATE volunteer who was an inspiration to all with his snowboarding prowess and his friendly, open-minded approach to engaging youth and naturally providing positive role modelling.
