SEAAC - AFL Football Outings

SEAAC received free tickets to two matches to watch the Australian national sport AFL. The tickets were donated by the Holland Foundation and AFL Diversity Program.

Term 3 School Holiday

SEAAC Term 3 School Holiday Program was action packed with a PIE program excursion to Melbourne Star, and a South Oakleigh Bunnings BBQ to fundraise for our 2015 Camp.

SeaACT program - Mustafa

“I have learned to have more confidence and energy when acting on stage and other things like studies exam and tests. I want the program to continue because I want it for other people too so they can have more confidence of what they do and not be shy. This program has supported my brothers, sisters and others. I have no complaints about this program.  It is too good.   KEEP IT UP!!”

SEAAC Girls Soccer Tournament August

On the 23rd August, SEAAC held their first girl’s soccer tournament at the Oakleigh Indoor Sports Centre in partnership with the Craig Family Centre, Victoria Police, Sports without Borders, City of Monash, VIRWC (Victorian Immigrant Refugee Women Coalition), Centre for Multicultural Youth, African Women’s Network South East and New Hope Foundation.

As Term Two drew to a close so did another successful partnership between SEAAC and the Noble Park and Hampton Park English Language Schools (NPELS).  Throughout the term students enjoyed a variety of workshops and information sessions facilitated by SEAAC around topics that were identified as useful to them.

Student Placement Experience

As part of the Master of Social Work course I am currently studying at RMIT University, I was lucky enough to do my student placement at SEAAC. I started my placement with SEAAC in October 2013 and over the four months since I have worked across a number of SEAAC’s different programs
