Hi,I am sharing the job of Coordinator at SEAAC with Michelle. I love working at SEAAC as Coordinator because I get to work on so many different and exciting projects for young people. Apart from the administration work in the office and supporting the staff, I will often go out on SEAAC activities and camps so please say hi to me. I would love to hear from young people who have ideas for SEAAC activities and projects we can do in the future so please do call me or email me. I think all of the young people we work with from all over the world are amazing and I look forward to meeting new people all the time.

Hi, as Sally mentioned above, we work together to coordinate the various programs and day to day running of SEAAC. Being part of the SEAAC team is very rewarding as we have a fabulous culturally diverse team who are passionate and dedicated to the work we do. We each bring with us our own unique and rich life experiences and knowledge, as well as an open mind, which enables us to treat each individual and their situation with respect, understanding and a commitment to improving the situation of young persons from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
Our programs span far and wide given the modest size of our Organisation, and we are able to respond and bring positive change to many young persons who are vulnerable and needing support and guidance. We are always looking at ways of reaching out to new and more isolated individuals and community groups, so please make contact with us if you think we can help you. Feel free to drop by our office or phone us, and I look forward to meeting more new faces at our up-coming community events.

Youth Participation and Access (YPA) program
YPA program at SEAAC is led by a youth committee comprises young people from local areas. The aim of the youth committee is to empower other young people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and refugee backgrounds, living in the South Eastern region of Melbourne, with life skills, knowledge, resources and supports that will enable them to
(a) realise their goals and aspirations
(b) facilitate their active participation in community life
(c) address their social, recreational and welfare needs at a critical time in their development and settlement in Australia
The committee continues to participate in learning activities and training to develop their skills. The committee also provides a formal opportunity for CALD young people to provide feedback and ideas to SEAAC youth services. The youth committee is also involved in planning and organising local youth lead initiatives for SEAAC's targets group.
If you want to be a youth leader who will have lots of opportunities in learning, developing and building networks with other youth, please feel free to contact on Minthura Wynn.
