South Sudanese Youth Program
The South Sudanese Youth Program aims to improve access to mainstream services of South Sudanese young people aged 12 - 25 who have been in Australia between 6 months and 5 years and are living in the Eastern Middle, Southern Melbourne and City of Greater Dandenong. The program provides casework and group information sessions are provided on topics such as accommodation, educational support and employment. Community development is facilitated through developing the capacity of community youth groups to become self sustainable. Advocacy to mainstream agencies, employment and volunteering activities and a network of mainstream agencies are established to assist entrants integrate into the broader community.
How Do I Make a Referral?
Self Referral: People can self refer by presenting in person and making a time to speak with one of our workers.
Phone Referral: Indivduals and/or workers can contact SEAAC workers by phone on 9563 4130 to refer to our program.
The South Sudanese Youth Program is supported by financial assistance from the Australian Government / Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
